Established in December of 2021 and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, our mission is to promote firearm awareness through education and safety while fostering shooting sports for individuals, groups, and organizations. We achieve this by facilitating fundraising opportunities and grants.
Our first Banquet & Auction was held in 2022. As a result of our yearly fundraising efforts, in 2023 we were able to pay our expenses plus award over $23,000 in grants and in 2024 we awarded over $30,000.00 in grants.
We continue to grow and look forward to continued growth in 2024 and beyond.
New for 2024, we awarded two Oklahoma youth scholarships for the NRA Whittington Center Adventure Camp Youth Program. As one of America's best outdoor youth camp for boys and girls aged 13 to 17, campers will learn everything from shooting fundamentals to firearm safety, marksmanship, basic wilderness survival skills, and much, much more.
Our organization is powered by a team of passionate volunteers, who work tirelessly all year long to raise funds. The Shooting Sports Association is grateful for the support of our volunteers and donors who help us achieve our mission.
NRA WHITTINGTON CENTER ADVENTURE CAMP
The NRA Whittington Center Adventure Camp is perhaps America’s best outdoor youth camp for boys and girls aged 13 to 17. The Shooting Sports Association is excited to be offering two scholarships for OKLAHOMA youth, ages 13-17, to attend the 2025 camp. Apply online:
